Who Are We

Welcome to Herbal Alternative. My journey into the world of plant medicine didn't start in a lab, but in a kitchen. In 2017, after suffering a cooking burn, a coworker suggested a simple synergy of frankincense and the oregano I was growing in my own garden. To my amazement, it worked.

That single spark of curiosity grew into a lifelong passion. I began looking at my culinary garden through a medicinal lens, eventually seeking formal education from the Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine and Rosemary Gladstar’s Science and Art of Herbalism. After seven years of sharing remedies with friends and family, I founded Herbal Alternative in 2024 to bring the healing power of plants to a wider community.

Our Mission

To empower individuals at every stage of life by providing affordable, high-quality, plant-based alternatives that work in harmony with modern medicine. We aim to bridge the gap between ancestral wisdom and contemporary health goals, ensuring that natural wellness is never a luxury, but a sustainable way of life.

Our Core Values

Soil-First Stewardship We believe that the healing power of a plant begins in the earth. By maintaining our own vermiculture and organic composting systems, we ensure our herbs are grown in "living soil," resulting in more potent and vibrant botanicals.

Radical Affordability Wellness should not be a financial burden. By growing our own ingredients and sourcing locally when possible, we keep our overhead low so we can pass those savings on to the elderly, the budget-conscious, and anyone seeking natural relief.

Synergistic Wellness We don't aim to dismiss modern medicine; we aim to complement it. We believe in an integrated approach to health, where hand-crafted tinctures and teas support the body’s natural resilience alongside professional medical care.

Uncompromising Quality From non-GMO seeds to small-batch processing, we prioritize freshness over volume. If we don’t grow it ourselves, we only partner with wholesalers who share our commitment to organic certification and ethical harvesting.

Transparent Growth We are lifelong students of the craft. From our origins in 2017 to our future goals of rainwater harvesting and tropical greenhouses, we are committed to evolving our techniques to better serve our community and the planet.
